Darrough Chapel provides a full-day preschool program for Head Start eligible 3- and 4-year-old children. All Head Start preschool teachers are certified and provide kindergarten readiness preparation based on a developmentally appropriate curriculum. Educational objectives focus on age appropriate academic and physical skill development, as well as health, nutrition, social/emotional support, and medical needs. This program includes transportation and school day meals. The local Head Start is an Indiana State licensed Early Childhood Center, and has earned Level 4 (highest rating) in Indiana Paths to Quality.
